SAN THOME ACADEMY REPRESENTATIVE ATTENDED  INTERNATIONAL SAHODAYA CONFERENCE IN DUBAI

The President, Mr. Sunil Thomas, and the Director, Mrs. Hansy Thomas, of San Thome Academy, Bhopal Road, participated in the First International and 31st Annual Conference of Sahodaya School Complexes – 2025, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The theme of the conference was “Rooted in Wisdom, Rising with Vision: Reimagining Education through NEP 2020”.

This landmark event, a CBSE flagship initiative inspired by the NEP 2020, marked a historic milestone for India’s education community as it went global for the first time. The two-day conference brought together educators, innovators, and school leaders from across the world to collaborate and shape the future of learning.

Guided by CBSE and aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Frameworks, the conference served as a dynamic platform to share best practices, explore future-ready pedagogies, and blend India’s timeless educational ethos with global aspirations. Through cultural showcases, interactive sessions, and thought-provoking dialogues, the event celebrated the diversity and unity of the global Indian school community. The conference emphasized holistic development, critical thinking, creativity, and global citizenship.

Mr. Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul General of India in Dubai, lauded the initiative and highlighted the growing presence of CBSE schools in the Gulf. Mr. Dheeraj Sahu, Additional Secretary DoSEL, noted that the NEP 2020 is transforming India’s learning ecosystem to be more flexible, inclusive, and future-focused, ensuring that every child and teacher is supported through the Samagra Shiksha Mission.

The keynote address was delivered by Smt. Sudha Murty, Hon’ble MP (Rajya Sabha) and recipient of the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards.

Shri Himanshu Gupta, IAS, Secretary CBSE, Shri Rahul Singh, IAS, Chairperson, CBSE, Dr. Ram Shankar,  Director,  CBSE,  RO & CoE in Dubai, UAE, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examination, CBSE, Dr. Biswajit Saha, Professor and Director ( Skill Education), CBSE and Dr. (Mrs) Praggya M. Singh, Professor & Director (Academics), CBSE were also present on the occasion.
