San Thome Academy promoted Eco-friendly Celebrations
San Thome Academy, Bhopal Road celebrated Diwali with great pomp and show on 20th October. On this occasion, colorful cultural programs were presented by the students of the school. Describing the importance of Deepawali, Aditya Malakarof class VII urged everyone to celebrate “Eco Friendly Deepawali”. A poem was presented by SoumyalChoudhary on safe Deepawali. Along with various colorful dance performances, a drama based on the life of Lord Ram and a short play on pollution caused by firecrackers gave the message of celebrating a pollution-free Diwali. On this occasion, Primary students enthusiastically participated in Diya decoration, Rangolimaking and decoration activities that added colourto the grandeur of the program. On this occasion, the Principal of the school, Mr. EK Joshi, advised the students to celebrate the festival of Diwali in a safe manner.
The Management extended the hearty wishes to the students and staff and suggested everyone to have eco-friendly celebrations.
