San Thome Academy has excellent facilities for a variety of sports like Athletics, Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Skating, Table tennis, Badminton, Kho-kho, Kabaddi, Judo, Karate, Chess, Carrom, Softball etc. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind is a fact well organized at San Thome. Yoga and swimming apart from other activities form the core of the physical fitness training. Awareness about health and safety is also a key subject that is extensively dwelt upon on a regular basis.

Swimming is an excellent cardiovascular workout that promotes heart & lung health, improves strength & flexibility, increases stamina and even improves balance & posture. We have Semi Olympic size swimming pool and a separate baby pool. The separate baby pool provides a safe and free atmosphere for swimming to our tiny tots.

Playing Kho-Kho keeps children strong motivated, enthusiastic and young. We have a well maintained Kho-Kho ground along with qualified coaches to train our students in this game.

It helps in improving teamwork, perseverance, responsibility, physical endurance, commitment time management and personal and emotional health. We have an excellent lush green athletic field which is designed in accordance with proper safety measures.

In this game, the core muscles arm and back muscles get a workout and it promotes physical fitness and helps to reduce stress and anxiety. We have four full-fledged Badminton Courts in our campus.

Basketball is the largest urban team sport in the world which builds bone strength, boosts the immune system, provides strength training, boosts mental development, develops self-discipline and concentration. At our school, we have two basketball courts and two practice courts.

Board games like Chess & Carrom has innumerable benefits like, it increases creativity, improves memory, reduces the risk of mental diseases, keeps mind engaged and build it stronger and helps to raise the IQ level. We help children utilise the facility to unlock their talents.

Cricket is the most popular and very much loved game by children. It helps to improve endurance, stamina, physical fitness, and hand-eye coordination. The game is good for developing team skills too. San Thome Academy provides a well developed Cricket field along with three separate pitches for net practice, among them, two are cemented wickets and one is turf wicket.

It increases aerobic capacity & cardiovascular health, lowers body fat, builds strength, flexibility, and endurance. We have a lush green football ground where students play during the activity period and improve their skills.

IT helps in improving hand-eye coordination and stimulates mental alertness and concentration and develops mental acuity. Our school provides the needed facilities for our students to upgrade their skill.

It helps in the development of chest & upper muscles, provides flexibility, improves self-esteem and also has many mental health benefits.

This game helps to improve stamina, speed, agility, multi-tasking abilities and enhances the presence of mind.

It is equivalent to jogging in terms of health benefits and helps in leg strength development. It’s a compulsory sport in our school for children of class NUR to XII.

There are many health benefits of yoga. It helps in keeping the spine erect, improves bone health, increases blood flow, heart health, lowers blood pressure, improves balance and gives relaxation etc.

Volleyball is a game which builds up team spirit, helps in burning calories, and improves muscle strength. It helps in strengthening the arms, shoulders, abdomen and lower leg. We have two Volleyball Courts on our campus.
